BSIS Guard Card Course
To work in the security industry, one must take and successfully complete a Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Power’s to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force (Guard Card) course at a certified training facility. Split Second Response is a BSIS-certified training center (TFB1400 and TFF1672) offering this 8-hour mandatory guard card course, as well as several other courses designed to help members of the security industry advance in their career field.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, ID Card, or U.S. Passport
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Must be a citizen of the United States or have permanent legal alien status.
- Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to take the course.
Click the link below to register for our BSIS Powers to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force (Guard Card) course. These courses are conducted every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and include the BSIS mandatory 3 hours of classroom instruction and 5 hours of hands-on training.
