Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Certification Course (Initial and Renewal)
Split Second Response provides CCW Permit certification (16-hours) and recertification (8-hours) courses for Contra Costa County residents only at this time. Our Concealed Carry Weapons Course satisfies the requirements mandated by California Senate Bill (SB) 2 concerning the training to secure a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit (CCW). This course will meet the requirements to earn your California permit and will enable legal concealed carry after petitioning with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s or your local Police department.
For residents of Contra Costa County, you must apply for your CCW permit online at the C.C.C. Sheriff's Department website, or through one of the following Police Departments based on where you live. For residents in Contra Costa County who do not live in one of the cities listed below, you apply through the Sheriff’s Department. Split Second Response is an approved CCW vendor for the Sheriff’s Department and the agencies highlighted in “red”:
