The Security Career Pathway Program is a 2-week, 80-hour course offering essential training and certifications required to launch successful careers in the security industry. Through hands-on training, a comprehensive curriculum, and partnerships with local security agencies and companies, graduates are prepared for immediate job placement.

Key Courses & Certifications
AVERT Active Shooter Certification
A 2-hour OSHA-compliant course that equips participants to respond confidently to active shooter events and life-threatening situations. The course includes:
- Situational Awareness: Recognize warning signs and potential threats.
- Decision-Making: Escape, evade, or attack strategies.
- Stop the Bleed Techniques: Control bleeding to save lives.
- Emergency Response: Quick responses and coordination with law enforcement.
Certification valid for 2 years.
Axon Taser Certification
This course trains participants to safely and effectively use Axon Taser devices. Key topics include:
- Taser Technology: Mechanics and functionality.
- Legal and Moral Aspects: When and how to deploy Tasers.
- Safety & Handling: Proper deployment and maintenance.
- Use of Force: Guidelines for practical situations.
- Hands-On Training: Scenario-based drills and assessments.
Tasers use neuromuscular incapacitation (NMI) to temporarily disrupt motor functions. Certification valid for 2 years
ASP Defender Chemical Agents Certification
A course focused on the safe and effective use of pepper spray for self-defense. Topics include:
- Product Knowledge: Science behind OC (pepper spray).
- Legal & Ethical Use: Guidelines and implications.
- Deployment Techniques: Precise application in various situations.
- Safety Protocols: Ensuring proper handling and safety.
- Practical Training: Scenario-based exercises for real-world application.
BSIS Powers to Arrest Certification
A mandatory 8-hour course that combines classroom instruction and hands-on training to prepare security officers to manage arrests responsibly and legally.
- Legal Aspects: Authority and limitations for arrests
- Procedures: Proper detention and use of force techniques
- De-escalation: Conflict resolution to minimize physical intervention
- Practical Training: Real-life role-playing scenarios
BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit
To obtain this certification, candidates must:
- Be 21+ years old and eligible under U.S. law
- Hold a valid Guard Card
- Pass a background check (FBI/DOJ)
- Complete 14 hours of classroom and range training
- Pass both written and range exams
Training Topics:
- Firearm Safety and Handling
- Legal & Moral Aspects of Firearm Use
- Shooting Fundamentals and Scenario-Based Drills
LIVE FIRE QUALIFICATION: 50 rounds fired at a B27 target with a passing score of 40 out of 50.
BSIS Baton Permit Course
This 8-hour course trains participants on:
- Legal Use of Force: Understanding reasonable force and legal boundaries
- Baton Techniques: Proper grip, stance, and striking methods
- Scenario-Based Training: Role-playing real-life situations
- Practical Hands-On Training: Live drills and proficiency assessment
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
This 2-hour blended course teaches participants to respond to emergencies, including:
- CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants
- First Aid Basics: Handling choking, bleeding, allergic reactions, shock, and fractures
- Certification: Earn a 2-year digital certificate from the American Red Cross.
